How you measure

Entering measurementsFractions is the tape-measure pad. Decimals lets you type what a laser shows — 42.25 — and stores it to the nearest 1/16. Either way the office always sees fractions.

Flag an opening when the O/A is off by more than1/4" matches the office workbook. Tighten it if you want to be pulled up sooner. 9/16" is as loose as it goes — past that a bad reading stops standing out. A flagged opening can still be sent; you just get told about it first.
